Woman rescued from truck stuck between retaining walls in Northeast Austin

A woman was rescued early Tuesday from a white pickup truck trapped between two retaining walls in northeast Austin.

Austin-Travis County paramedics responded Monday at 11:28 p.m. on the north facing service street on the 6500 block of Interstate 35 because of a reported collision with a vehicle.

The truck was about 6 feet in the air, medics said.

A KXAN video shows Austin firefighters dragging the woman onto the floor through the truck’s side window.

The woman was freed from the truck around 12:14 p.m. with minor injuries that doctors said were not considered life-threatening.
