SPRINGFIELD, MO. – Firefighters spent 20 to 30 minutes putting out a large fire on 1405 E. Trafficway on Monday December 7th.
Battalion Chief Steve Stinnett said the first crews arriving saw the heavy fire set a landscaping company on fire due to the equipment and supplies in the building.
Stinnett said the burning manure in the building gives off fumes, but firefighters were able to fight it with breathing apparatus.
The fire marshal investigates the scene, but Stinnett said they do not consider the fire suspicious.
Stinnett said the fire lasted so long because there was a lot to burn in the facility.
