Artificial grass is a synthetic material that is made of plastic and is easy to install. Keep all of these points in mind before installing it in your home.

PROS
Aesthetically pleasing
It looks lush green, is always well cared for, and looks aesthetically pleasing in any season. Unlike real grass, it is not damaged by external weather conditions such as rain or strong sunlight.
Maintenance free
Artificial grass is stain resistant, doesn’t create muddy footprints, requires little maintenance, and doesn’t require herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers to grow. Since it does not need to be watered, it helps prevent water consumption without compromising the aesthetics of the laid lawn. However, it does need to be cleaned and disinfected regularly to prevent bacteria from growing.
Looks like real grass
Artificial grass mimics the look of real grass and is available in different blade lengths, textures, densities and shades of green. It can be used outside or inside. Because it is a flexible material, it can be cut and installed as small strips between the sidewalk pavers.
Pet friendly
It cannot be dug and pampered by pets. Make it a goal to remove pet litter from artificial turf immediately and clean it with soapy water to minimize odors and prevent it from becoming a potential health hazard.
Resistant to fading
This type of green is UV resistant, which prevents the grass from fading in sunlight. As a result, artificial grass retains its green color all year round, while natural grass can turn brown in excessive sunlight.
Very durable
It is durable and can be used for up to 10 to 15 years depending on quality and maintenance. If installed in a shaded area, it will last longer than real grass that is exposed to direct sunlight.

Expensive
Artificial grass is very expensive because the initial installation costs are high. In the long term, however, it pays off due to the low maintenance costs.
Has a plastic feel
Artificial turf feels like plastic and doesn’t have the natural fresh grass, especially if you go barefoot. It absorbs more heat than natural grass and is uncomfortable to walk on in harsh sunlight. Some manufacturers offer cushions under this grass to lower the temperature when exposed to sunlight.
Not environmentally friendly
Artificial turf cannot replace the properties of natural turf as it is alive and releases oxygen as it grows. Since artificial turf is made of plastic, it is not biodegradable and will end up in landfills. In addition, artificial turf simply acts as an outside carpet that prevents rainwater from entering the ground. This affects the soil ecosystem and the biodiversity of the landscaped garden.
