SCV Water To Hold In-Person Landscaping Class
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency is set to hold an in-person landscaping class next Saturday.
The free landscape and gardening class on proper pruning is set to take place at the SCV Water Conservatory Garden at 9 am on Jan. 7.
The event is scheduled to last for about two hours.
“We are excited to be offering a couple of our landscape and gardening classes in person for 2023,” Public Affairs Specialist Laura Gallegos said. “We will still have most classes online, but in-person interaction was still necessary for several classes like proper pruning.”
Instructor John Windsor, a certified arborist and California certified nurseryman, is set to show participants steps they can take to improve the health, quality and beauty of their plants and flowers.
“Learn the when, where, and how of plant pruning,” said Tim Wheeler, owner and head instructor of The Wheeler Company. “The class will cover basic pruning principles and discuss specific types of plants like roses and fruit trees.”
Attendees must register for the event here. A list of scheduled gardening classes can be found here.
