Learn about building stone walls

Have you always wanted to learn the art and construction of stone walls? Stone walls are a staple feature to southeastern Massachusetts reminiscent of colonial times and stone wall building is a unique and impressive skill to learn. Mattapoisett Land Trust invites you to come learn how it’s done at their stone wall workshop.

Meet the land trust at the Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. Foundation parking area on Angelica Ave. in Mattapoisett on Sunday, Nov. 13. The workshop will run from 10 am to 11 am Wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves; this will be hands on. The workshop will be led by the Mattapoisett Land Trust’s Vice President of the Board, Peter Davies, who has been building and repairing stone walls for 40 years for friends and clients.
