Free Online Class Offers Green Landscaping Tips To RivCo Residents

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Looking to make your yard more environmentally friendly?

This weekend, the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources is offering a free class on green landscaping. The presentation will be offered online for residents from 9 am to 10 am Saturday. The class can be accessed on any computer, tablet or smartphone.

“Green landscaping, also referred to as sustainable landscaping, is an easy and cost-efficient way to be more environmentally friendly,” a county news release read. “From learning about Riverside County’s native plants to water efficiency, this class answers questions about closing the loop on green waste and utilizing green space efficiently. Green landscapes are helpful for residents and businesses alike. Join Riverside County Waste Resources to learn strategies to practice a sustainable lifestyle.”

Class attendees will receive Riverside County-specific resources and links to implement a green landscape, according to county officials.
