Police: Iowa woman leads police on a hunt over rock

A Fort Dodge woman led the police on a short chase after allegedly stealing a piece of landscape rock. According to court records, police responded Tuesday to a break-in at a landscaping company on South 23rd Street. Police say there they found 31-year-old Lindsey Ebner who was trying to escape from the scene. She was taken into custody after a brief chase, police said. Fort Dodge police said they found the stone in their vehicle, valued at less than $ 300. Ebner is charged with fifth degree theft.
