Dartmouth landscaping company sells bumper stickers to plant trees

Dartmouth-based landscaping company Daniel Cook Fine Gardens kicked off a fundraising campaign this week to collect money and raise awareness for One Tree Planted, a non-profit dedicated to global reforestation.

The campaign offers “Trees Are Cool” bumper stickers for sale at several local businesses in Dartmouth and Westport.

For each $5 sticker sold, the landscaping company will donate $10 to One Tree Planted for tree planting efforts in both the United States and Guatemala.

For each dollar contributed, one tree will be planted. The goal is to plant 2,000 trees. The trees are planted by local partner organizations and community volunteers in areas where there has been deforestation.

The bumper stickers can be purchased at the following locations: Davoll’s General Store, Dartmoor Gifts, Sylvan Nursery and Dartmouth Building Supplies.
