Council to offer garden and landscaping services to householders in Exeter

Exeter households may soon be able to access a variety of community gardening and landscaping services.

Exeter City Council is keen to expand a number of its services including landscaping and path and decking.

“The city council is a trusted and established brand,” said Cllr David Harvey, senior councilor for city management.

“And what we’ve built in our parks and open spaces over the years is a very experienced team capable of running some world-class projects across the city,” he added.

Starting in April, the Council plans to test a range of paid services and looks forward to hearing from households who may be interested in:

  • Garden clearance
  • Garden design and layout
  • Goals and fencing
  • Paths and terraces
  • Cut hedges

The Council receives frequent inquiries from members of the public, but has so far not done any private work.

Cllr David Harvey added, “This is a fantastic opportunity for people to access a range of new services, knowing they are choosing a trusted brand with a great track record of delivering programs across Exeter.”
